Dr. Xu Zhiyong, Chairman of Ai-BESS Technology, Delivers Speech at 2024 "Alumni Return to Hunan" Conference
On November 20th, 2024, the "Alumni Return to Hunan" conference in Changsha united over 300 alumni to strategize the revitalization and future growth of Hunan. The event featured notable figures such as Mao Weiming, Deputy Secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Governor, and Wang Jiayi, Deputy Minister of Education, who delivered keynote speeches. Governor Mao inspired the audience with his remarks: "Your return today surpasses the charm of the past; time ages not, and returning to Hunan is perfectly timed!" Dr. Xu Zhiyong, Chairman of Ai-BESS Technology and a distinguished alumnus of Hunan University, delivered a heartfelt speech as an outstanding alumni representative. Reflecting warmly on his formative years in Hunan, Dr. Xu called on fellow alumni to join forces in driving high-quality regional development. He expressed confidence in Hunan's growth potential, envisioning collaborations with local enterprises to expand globally and create a strategic connection between local strengths and international markets.
As a member of the 85th cohort of Hunan University's Organic Synthetic Materials program, Dr. Xu achieved remarkable success abroad, founding companies such as NanoMas, Meetech, and AGreatE. Recognizing the strategic importance of China's "dual carbon" goals, he returned to his homeland in 2021 to establish Ai-BESS Technology. The company focuses on groundbreaking innovations in energy storage and renewable energy technologies, aiming to support China's transition to a sustainable energy future.
The conference also featured a major project signing ceremony. Ai-BESS Technology announced a 500-million-yuan investment in an intelligent energy storage manufacturing base, developed in partnership with alumni enterprises. This project will prioritize intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, big data, and shared power stations, positioning Hunan as a leader in the new energy industry.
