AGreatE and Ai-BESS Showcase Solar-Powered Cooking Solutions at Central Africa LPG Expo, Supporting Cameroon’s Transition to Clean Cooking
At the recently held Central Africa Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Expo, Ai-BESS, along with its U.S. affiliate AGreatE, unveiled a next-generation solar-powered home energy ecosystem designed to accelerate the transition to clean cooking across Africa. The demonstration attracted strong attention from both expo attendees and senior officials of the Cameroonian government.

During the event, Ai-BESS, AGreatE, and the CLEAN-Air (Africa) team from Douala General Hospital presented the system to the Honorable Minister of Water Resources and Energy of Cameroon, H.E. Gaston Eloundou Essomba. The innovative system is powered by two high-efficiency solar panels and includes a scalable 3KWh lithium battery. It supports the following clean household appliances:
9L Electric Pressure Cooker – Ideal for preparing staple dishes in traditional households.
32cm Induction Cooker with 12.5L Cookware – Enables efficient and energy-saving meal preparation.
Rechargeable LED Lamps – Offer a clean and safe lighting alternative.
Portable Fan and Mini Refrigerator – Address basic cooling and cold chain needs in tropical regions.

The first pilot project will be launched next week in the central Cameroonian town of Mbalmayo, targeting up to 20 households that currently rely on biomass fuels such as wood and charcoal for cooking. Real-world data will be collected on-site to assess the system’s effectiveness in improving air quality, household energy convenience, and overall sustainability.
Dr. Xu Zhiyong, Chairman of Ai-BESS, stated:
“We are committed to delivering scalable and affordable clean energy solutions for Africa—solutions that are not only accessible but also desirable and effective in real use.”
Beyond technology, Ai-BESS sees itself as a champion for family health, women’s empowerment, and sustainable development in Africa. Its presence at the Central Africa LPG Expo marked more than a product debut—it was a pledge: that every household deserves access to clean, safe, and modern energy.

Looking ahead, Ai-BESS will continue working alongside governments, international organizations, and local communities to light up more “sun-powered kitchens” across the continent. By doing so, the company aims to advance the global Sustainable Development Goal SDG 7 – Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.
